Celebrating Shah Rukh Khan's 58th Birthday: Plans of His Doppelgangers for the Day

Suraj Kumar, the spitting image of Shah Rukh Khan, has carved out a niche for himself by impersonating the Bollywood superstar. For Kumar, Khan's birthday holds more significance than his own. “On his birthday, my idea is to have a fun time with as many people as possible,” Kumar says, with enthusiasm in his voice. “So, I, along with my friends, head to India Gate every year with cake and food. We cut the cake, celebrate his achievements, and have a great time with those who join us.”

Suraj and his team don't stop at just cake-cutting. They also put on special performances and entertain the crowds that gather to celebrate SRK's birthday. The excitement from the fans is palpable. “We go all out to ensure his birthday is celebrated in a spectacular way,” Suraj adds.

Throughout our conversation, Kumar addresses Shah Rukh Khan as his “God.” “I consider him my second parent. He is like my God,” he passionately states. He goes on to explain the reason behind this profound admiration, “It's because of him that I can perform at events, create content on social media, and make a living. It's because of him that I receive so much respect wherever I go. It's because of him that people recognize me today. I owe this success to him.” Kumar often creates videos where he reenacts SRK's iconic scenes, particularly from the 1990s films.

When asked if he'd like to convey a special message to the superstar on his 58th birthday, Kumar's eyes light up. “You may have thousands of fans, but everyone says that I am different, and I believe it too. I'm not just another person imitating you. I genuinely love you from the depths of my heart. Please continue being the same person and keep entertaining us with your amazing films.”

Now, let's shift our focus to Ibrahim Qadri, another lookalike of Shah Rukh Khan. His striking resemblance to the actor leads to daily instances of mistaken identity. “It happens on an everyday basis,” Qadri chuckles, “and sometimes people are not willing to believe that I'm not him.”

Qadri narrates an incident on SRK's birthday when a young man jumped and broke his leg while trying to meet him, mistaking him for Shah Rukh Khan. “When I found out, I went to meet him and tried to explain. Next to him was another girl who started crying in disbelief. I was trying to explain, but they were not ready to accept it, constantly saying, ‘Aap jhoot bol rahe hain.'”

For Qadri, celebrating Shah Rukh Khan's birthday is a noble endeavor. “The idea is to help the needy, feed the poor, and do something good in his name. Unka birthday hai toh hum koshish karte hain ki hum zyaada se zyaada logo ke saath kuch accha kar sakein.” On one of SRK's birthdays, they took several underprivileged children to an amusement park and treated them to a day of fun and good food. Qadri's aim is to do as much good as he can in the superstar's name.

While Qadri may have work commitments this year, he emphasizes that he never misses celebrating SRK's birthday. “As for now, it seems like I will have a busy day, but my friends and team ensure that they celebrate his birthday to the fullest. We will cut the cake, distribute food, and more.”

Qadri's birthday wish for SRK is simple: “You have been delivering back-to-back hits, and I hope you continue to do so. Aise tohfe aap humein dete rahein. You are the biggest superstar for me. While I adore you as an actor, I love the person you are. I admire the way you approach life. Aapka zindagi ke liye nazariya mujhe inspire kara hai. I am your biggest fan, and I have the utmost respect for you. Also, it's because of you that people know me. Mera jo bhi naam hai is duniya mein wo sab aapki den hai. Maine koi extra mehnat nahi kari,” he concludes, with heartfelt gratitude for his idol.
