Shah Rukh Khan's ‘Jawan' Hits ₹1000 Crore Marks Worldwide
Shah Rukh Khan‘s latest blockbuster, “Jawan,” directed by Atlee, has shattered all records, reaching the remarkable milestone of ₹1000 crore in just 18 days. The film, featuring an ensemble cast including Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi, has taken the global box office by storm, proving that it's a force to be reckoned with.
Red Chillies Entertainment proudly unveiled “Jawan's” staggering box office figures on social media, celebrating this historic achievement. In their post on X (formerly Twitter), they exclaimed, “Witness history in the making with Jawan! Have you experienced it yet?”
Filmmaker Atlee also expressed his gratitude, saying, “We are truly blessed. Thank you all for your support.” “Jawan” now joins Shah Rukh Khan's exclusive club of ₹1000 crore movies, following the success of “Pathaan.”
The accompanying video teaser gave a glimpse of Shah Rukh Khan as Vikram Rathore and his son Azad in “Jawan,” proudly displaying the colossal ₹1004.92 crore worldwide gross. Fans couldn't contain their excitement, with one X user predicting, “With SRK (Shah Rukh Khan) + Atlee + Anirudh Ravichander (the film's music composer), we can expect ₹1500 crore soon.” Another admirer tweeted, “Shah Rukh Khan is the only Indian actor with two ₹1000 crore grossers worldwide.”
Comparing “Jawan” with “Pathaan” at the box office, it's worth noting that “Pathaan,” which starred Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham, achieved the ₹1000 crore milestone earlier this year. “Pathaan” was released on January 25 and crossed the ₹1000 crore mark globally around four weeks later, on February 21. In contrast, “Jawan” achieved this incredible feat in just 18 days, debuting on September 7 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
“Jawan” witnessed a remarkable surge in its third weekend, with a worldwide gross collection of ₹979.08 crore on Saturday. Sunday added another ₹25.84 crore to its tally, propelling it past the ₹1004 crore worldwide gross mark. Meanwhile, according to a report by Sacnilk.com, “Jawan” collected ₹14.95 crore nett in India on its third Sunday, accumulating a domestic box office total of ₹560.78 crore.
The film had an extraordinary start, earning an astounding ₹75 crore nett in India across all languages on its opening day. During its first week, “Jawan” raked in ₹389.88 crore in India, and in the second week, it added another ₹136.1 crore nett.
Apart from the stellar cast of Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, and Vijay Sethupathi, “Jawan” also features Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Ridhi Dogra, Lehar Khan, Girija Oak, and Sanjeeta Bhattacharya. Sanjay Dutt and Deepika Padukone make special cameo appearances in this cinematic spectacle that continues to dazzle audiences worldwide.
