Khalistani Terror Links in Canada: Alarming Indian Intel

Recent disclosures from Indian intelligence agencies have unveiled serious concerns regarding the presence of a Khalistani terrorist network operating within Canada. This dossier, furnished by Indian authorities, sheds light on various Canadian nationals allegedly linked to the proscribed International Sikh Youth Federation (ISYF) and the Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF).

1. Gurjit Singh Cheema

  • Gurjit Singh Cheema, a 50-year-old Canadian national originally hailing from Punjab, is identified by Indian intelligence as an active member of ISYF/KLF. He is closely associated with the ‘Singh Khalsa Sewa Club' in Toronto and currently resides in Brampton, Ontario, where he works as a truck driver.
  • In 2017, Cheema's visit to India is suspected to have involved the organization of a module. During his stay in India, he is alleged to have motivated and radicalized individuals named Gurpreet Singh Brar and Sukhmanpreet Singh.
  • The dossier also reveals Cheema's involvement in sourcing weaponry across the border in May 2017, allegedly with the assistance of Pakistan-based contacts, Rode and PhD, for ISYF module members.

2. Gurjinder Singh Pannu

  • Gurjinder Singh Pannu, a 28-year-old Canadian national, is another figure mentioned in the intelligence dossier. He currently resides in East Hamilton, Ontario, and is actively associated with the ‘Singh Khalsa Sewa Club' in Toronto.
  • According to the dossier, Pannu is alleged to have provided financial support to ISYF module members in India in March 2017, aiming to facilitate the acquisition of locally-manufactured weapons for their operations. He is also accused of sending funds to an individual named Balkar Singh in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, to aid in the delivery of these weapons.
  • Pannu is implicated, much like Gurjit Singh Cheema, in sourcing a weapon consignment from across the border in May 2017, purportedly with the assistance of Pakistan-based contacts Rode and Ph.D., for the benefit of ISYF module members.

3. Gurpreet Singh Brar

  • Gurpreet Singh Brar, a 38-year-old Canadian national with Canadian passport No. H1820001, is among the pro-Khalistani individuals featured in the intelligence dossier. He currently resides in Surrey, British Columbia, and is actively associated with the ‘Singh Khalsa Sewa Club,' where Gurjit Singh Cheema is another prominent member.
  • The dossier indicates that Brar and Cheema played a role in the establishment of a sub-club called “Singh Khalsa Sewa Club Dagru” in Punjab, under the guidance of Satpal Singh. During a visit to India in March 2016, Gurpreet Singh is alleged to have indoctrinated and motivated individuals to engage in terrorist activities.
  • Gurpreet Singh is also accused of directing individuals to procure weapons, reportedly obtained from various sources, including Cheema and others, intended for use by ISYF module members in Punjab.

These revelations highlight the urgent need for international cooperation in addressing the presence of Khalistani terror cells in Canada and their potential threat to global security. It is essential for governments worldwide to work together to counter such activities and ensure the safety of their citizens.
