Haryana Inaugrates Hot Air Balloon Safari Adventure in Pinjore

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar recently inaugurated a thrilling hot air balloon safari project in Pinjore, Panchkula district, marking a significant milestone in the state's adventure tourism. Pinjore-Kalka, often regarded as the gateway to Himachal Pradesh, boasts tremendous tourism potential.

During the inauguration, Khattar emphasized the project's role in not only transforming the area's identity but also in generating employment opportunities. The chief minister, accompanied by Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta and Tourism Minister Kanwar Pal, even took a ride in the hot air balloon to experience the adventure firsthand.

To support the sustainability of the hot air balloon nature safari, the state government pledged a grant of ₹72 lakh over two years as Viability Gap Funding (VGF). The company managing the project has set a fee of ₹13,000 per person per ride for tourists.

Post the Pinjore event, Khattar extended the adventure spectrum by inaugurating water and adventure sports at Hathnikund Barrage in Yamunanagar district. He announced the development of a park at Hathnikund Barrage, named after former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Addressing the significance of tourism, Khattar highlighted its global appeal and its positive impact on regional development and employment. He expressed his enthusiasm for the unique experience of the hot air balloon ride, noting the dependence on wind direction during the airborne journey and the observation of wildlife.

In a post on X in Hindi, Khattar welcomed tourists to Haryana, showcasing the state's strides in the tourism sector over the past nine years. The hot air balloon safari in Pinjore is seen as a pivotal step to promote adventure tourism and create employment opportunities.

The official statement commended the chief minister's efforts in positioning Haryana as an adventure sports hub, particularly focusing on the Shivalik mountain range and the development of Pinjore as a vibrant tourism destination. Plans are underway to attract global tourists, including the establishment of the world's largest jungle safari park in the Aravalli mountain range.

The statement outlined initiatives to boost tourism in Haryana, including the development of trekking and mountain biking tracks, water sports activities, and the promotion of eco-tourism in Morni hills. With a vision to make the Kalka to Kalesar area a tourist hotspot, a substantial provision of ₹1,200 crore has been allocated.

In summary, Haryana is not just a destination; it's an adventure waiting to unfold, and the hot air balloon safari is just the beginning of an exhilarating journey.
