Direct Flight Services From Kerala to Vietnam: New Route
Exciting news for travelers! Direct flight services between Kerala and Vietnam are now available, with flights departing from Cochin International Airport. The launch of this new flight route by Vietjet, a Vietnamese airline, is a significant achievement for Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL). He further added, “I am confident that we can expand this connectivity by introducing more flights from different cities in Vietnam to the Kochi route. This will strengthen our ties and make travel between the two regions even more seamless.”
The launch of this flight service was announced shortly after a meeting between Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Hai and Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on July 5. Vijayan tweeted about the positive impact of the direct flight service, emphasizing its potential to enhance ties between Kerala and Vietnam while boosting tourism and development in the state.
Designated as VJ1811, the direct flight service will operate four days a week—on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. Departing from Ho Chi Minh City at 19:20 hours, the flight is scheduled to arrive at Cochin International Airport at 22:50 hours. The return flight, VJ1812, will depart from Kochi at 23:50 hours and reach Ho Chi Minh City at 06:40 hours.
“This service is a historic milestone for CIAL, establishing the first direct air link between Kerala and Vietnam. It opens up significant opportunities for both business and leisure travel,” highlighted the CIAL statement.
