Kenya: Nairobi Gas Blast: 2 Dead, 220+ Injured
Tragedy struck Nairobi's Embakasi neighborhood as a gas explosion at a refilling company unleashed a devastating fire just before midnight, claiming the lives of two individuals and leaving 165 others injured, according to local reports on Friday. The incident severely damaged the gas refilling company's building, as revealed by government spokesperson Isaac Mwaura on social media.
Wesley Kimeto, the police commander in charge of Embakasi, confirmed the loss of two lives in the incident, expressing the gravity of the situation. Adamson Bungei, the police commander for Nairobi area, reported that a staggering 165 people were injured and promptly taken to hospitals for treatment.
