Agastya Nanda's Big Screen Debut

The talented Agastya Nanda, who recently stepped into the world of acting with the Netflix film The Archies, is gearing up for his big-screen debut in Sriram Raghavan's upcoming project, Ekkis.

This much-anticipated film will bring to life the inspiring story of 1971 war hero Arun Khetarpal. Produced by Dinesh Vijan, Ekkis promises to be a compelling portrayal of courage, sacrifice, and the special bond between a father and son.

Agastya's Preparation:

In the wake of an eventful 2023 that saw Agastya's debut in The Archies, the young actor is now diving into the challenging role of Arun Khetarpal. According to a report by Pinkvilla, Agastya has diligently attended acting workshops with Sriram Raghavan and specialized coaches to refine his body language.

The meticulous preparation aims to ensure that Agastya seamlessly steps into the shoes of India's celebrated war hero. A source close to the project reveals that the actor will commence shooting for Ekkis in January 2024.

Sriram Raghavan's Vision:

Sriram Raghavan, the acclaimed filmmaker behind Ekkis, has envisioned Agastya Nanda as the perfect fit for the role of Arun Khetarpal. The director, currently awaiting the release of his film Merry Christmas, co-starring Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi, believes that Agastya's youthfulness and talent align perfectly with the character requirements.

After months of meticulous preparation, Sriram and Agastya are all set to embark on the journey of bringing this heroic tale to the big screen.

More about Ekkis:

Following his portrayal of Archie Andrews in The Archies, Agastya Nanda will step into the role of an army officer in Ekkis. The film aims to spotlight the father-son bond within the backdrop of the 1971 India-Pakistan war.

This collaboration marks the second venture between Sriram Raghavan and producer Dinesh Vijan, who previously collaborated on the critically acclaimed film Badlapur in 2015.

Agastya's Acting Debut:

The Archies, a teen musical comedy directed by Zoya Akhtar, served as Agastya Nanda's debut in the film industry. Released on December 7, the film featured Agastya as Archie Andrews alongside Khushi Kapoor, Suhana Khan, Vedang Raina, Mihir Ahuja, Aditi Saigal, and Yuvraj Menda. Set in 1960s India, The Archies explored themes of romance, friendship, and the future of Riverdale.
